Beating a speeding ticket isn't as difficult as some people make it out to be. They don't realize that the court doesn't want to put much effort into defending a meager speeding ticket. The long term costs of tickets can be upwards of a thousand dollars, so unless you're very rich I suggest you learn how to answer the question, "How do I get out of a speeding ticket?".
First of all, always be courteous to the officer, judge, and anybody else you're around. Often times the patience level for these people drops throughout the day, and you don't want to suffer their wrath. It's a lot harder to get charges dropped when the judge is mad at you, so play it cool.
Anytime you go to court you should always arrive early, and be dressed nice. You don't have to wear a suit, but it's not a bad idea either. Looking professional is one of your best defenses. Be as articulate as you can and always speak in complete sentences, answer the questions with "sir" or "ma'am." The more respectful you are the more likely they'll listen to what you have to say in your own defense.
So you are thinking to yourself right now "How do I get out of a speeding ticket? It just seems impossible!" Well, it's not. And you have to think of the judges standpoint when you go into court; It's an officer against the driver. Who is the judge going to believe? You need to have good evidence to get your case dropped. There are certain factors that affect radar guns, so ask for this information before you go into court so that you have a good chance at getting the charges dropped.
Ask for the names and serial numbers of all the radar guns used that day, then ask for the maintenance and service records for all the guns. Pay special attention to the radar gun information that pertains the the officer that gave you the ticket. If that gun hasn't been worked on or serviced in a while it may be out of calibration, which would throw off the speed.
